Aside from the full on xenophobic/orientalist/frog-hating blancmange, I just didn't care. The two american girls were just plain annoying and I wasn't bothered about their fate (the movie even conforms to horror script rules as the one who wants sex, dies). Liam Neeson gives a paint by numbers performance and looks stiff/old. And every minor plot point from the attack on the teeny-bop singer to the use of his cia buddies as background to his character, all pretty much stink.
